DIL CHAHTA HAIN !!

D.C.H is one of the movies which any person from my generation could associate himself with...The following extract is a lovely fwded msg which i really liked and thought to publish it on my blog rather than just fwd like any other mail..

Things we can learn from Dil Chahta Hai.......

*Freaking out and enjoying life doesn't need drugs or cigarettes.

*There are relationships apart from bf/gf, marriage, siblings, friendship that can be very emotional and true. which is beyond the understanding of many people.

*And yeah even though u may be the best of friends there is always a limit which should never be crossed. Then it starts hurting...........

*Improving ur imperfections after you realize it, always take some time.

*You always don't need to show or prove how much u love or care about her/him, which can sound very boring and finally u r dumped.

*Believe in Love , true love will never let you down

*Never be ashamed to go back to your old friends, friends are there to understand your mistakes.

*Do not be afraid of others, always think that others r afraid of you.(Australian Beggar )

*Whenever you need your friend , remember that he/she is just a phone call away...distances can't separate friends

*In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends

.

*It's the friends you can call up at 4 A. M. that matter.

*The only unchangeable certainty is that nothing is certain or unchangeable.

*The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with - never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

And last but not the least- do what your heart loves …karo wahi jo DIL CHAHTA HAI!!!

Thoughts of a criminal mind..

As the mega trial of the 93' Mumbai bomb blasts accused flashes on the headlines of every paper and news-channel ,it makes me sit up and wonder what the hell is this underworld..Is it just some ruthless people getting together with some common issues and sentiments and creating havoc in the society..I mean we the common people of India harldy ever come across brutal activities in our daily lives.. A common mumbaikar spends most of his day n almost all his energy travelling in trains and buses and one fine day a blast in it gives him a jolt from the blue...The people involved in these disruptive activities get away unscathed ....well thats a different issue..but havent these "terrorists" come up from the same society.. They have experienced the same frustation and gone through numerous ordeals of real life as all of us..is it only some brain washing and lure of some easy money that makes them turn against the society ? I mean it surely must require massive coldness to fire that first bullet or press that trigger...I fail to fathom how these men can stop thinking on their own and just act blindly and follow someone else's advice..Its really amazing as in how can someone use people to such an extent to fulfil his own ulterior motives..Are these terrorist leaders so powerful to change a person's entire outlook to life ? Or are these people so weak that they the think violence is the only option left in the world ? I think thats the answer..They are those people who have mentally become so weak and frail that no amount of convincing or reasoning can make them recover from this illness..They just thrive by setting traps for innocent people to fall in their inhuman mindset..Be it religious sentiments , political motives or money matters...one grevious mistake takes it all away..Along with the easy money that they get ,it eventually leads a person into that vicious cycle..Its time to kill the thoughts not hang the people..Let peace prevail..

Tel Malish..

This is one of the many things which Indians are truly masters at..Right from the road side barber to the esteemed hair stylists everyone seems to have the expertise in this field...Infact the roadside one does better i've heard !The style defers from person to person and each is innovative in his own way..
Today I had this opportunity at my local barber's shop to go through this experience (after quite a long time)..The first question asked was "Kaunsa tel bhai" .I was like..huh..koi bhi jo aap theek samjho..He was quick to pass on a chirpy smile..I closed my eyes and then with that began the most enchanting journey with caressing to fine kneading with back thumping in between..The music as usual was playing loud as it does in most local saloons..He arduously carried out his task taking me slowly n steadily into the rhythm of his movements. As his expert hands soaked in oil went through my hair it felt like this should go on and on..It appeared like the barber's magical fingers had cast a spell over me and I was being hypnotized by him !
As the pace slowed down ,i slowly started getting back to senses with satisfaction glistening on my face..I paid him his fees and got off the shop with a lighter head on my shoulders albeit a bit sticky !!

DON gets my NOD

As the names appeared on the screen DON kicked off with its sensational background track and i relaxed back in my seat to watch the new inspired version of this highly acclaimed 70'z movie..For the first few minutes I had to orient myself to the new settings and but soon the movie catches pace..With its high tech gizmo gadgets and flashy dialogues and foot-tapping music ,the movie catches ur attention and the plot keeps u interested throughout..
The most laudable part about the story is that even when most of us know the original one still this movie catches ur eye more often than not..
This is actually one of the very few times that Mr Sharukh Khan's attitude really matches up with the aggression the movie demands...The three Goddesses paired along side him look divine and sensual in the plot..The twist in the tale is amazing and ingenious. The movie has its own flaws and deficits but they surely donot outnumber its merits..All in all it is definately an adrenaline booster and Farhan Akhtar surely deserves acclaimation and DON gets my nod..

BOO-HOO INDIA....WHR THE HELL IS REAL INDIA

From times galore the great Indian cricket team has left no stone unturned in disappointing its fans around the world and today was no exception..And somehow it alwayz comes to snatching the bone from the dog's mouth at the crucial final moment. It really feels foolish watching millions of spectators wasting their precious time n money chasing an illusive indian victory(that includes me)..And ya everytime a new justification from the team management is right out in the media even before you have gulped down your frustation from their pathetic performance.
But its really amazing everytime the team gears up for its next encounter all those bags of hope are filled again and everyone gears up to witness a so called grand revival of the team. This is what we have been doing for years together and obviously old habits die hard..Right from Sourav Ganguly sitting and cribbing in that empty stadium supposedly cheering for India to the the "blue billion" behind him ,the fizz is out ...

As good as it gets..

As I walked through the streets of Mumbai today the faint smell of gun-powder was still lurking in the air..The sweepers were busy on the streets working on possibly their busiest day of the year..As i walked into the building of Wadia Maternity Hosp the beautiful sunshine lighted up the dark corridors inside the building..The beautiful spiral staircase lead me towards the nursing home and i got into my routine chores..
I always ponder seeing these majestic heritage buildings if they ever could speak..The volumes of history hidden in them is mesmerizing..They have seen the real transformation of the city from the victorian era to the new metropolis and with it have stood the test of time..I'm no architecture student ,but then one doesnt need to be an expert to admire these magnificent structures..This hospital built in 1924 must have churned out thousands of young aspiring doctors into astute clinicians and is still going strong..As everytime a new cry of life comes alive ,I wonder how many families must have been associated with this hospital atleast sometime in their life..Those anxious husbands walking down the aisle..those apprehensive mother-in laws peeping into the labour room as often they can..and the ever wacky nursing staff shooing them off..years roll on...generations change but somethings never change..do they ?

Eureka !

Blogging....! The word rekindles some feelings hidden in the depth of my mind but suddenly it all comes to a standstill..There is SO much that I can write but somehow the motivation is what I lack..From there comes the word "cerebral outburst "which i'm urgently in need of to sway off all the inhibitions and mental blocks that arise from winthin...With this much needed thrust I begin this e-journey into depths of my gyri and sulci into the enchanting world of blogging..
